Neurodiversity-affirming therapy respects and values the unique experiences of people with autism, ADHD, and other differences. Instead of trying to "fix" or change who you are, this approach helps you embrace your identity and build on your strengths.
No, you don’t need a formal diagnosis to begin therapy. If you think you might be neurodivergent or face challenges related to Autism, counselling can help. I offer support, understanding, and strategies to improve your well-being.
I want you to feel comfortable during your sessions. My space includes soft lighting, minimal scents, and sensory-friendly tools like focus tools to help with self-regulation. Let me know what works best for you, and I’ll do my best to adjust the environment to your needs.
I tailor my approach to each client’s needs, using methods like strength-based therapy, client-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care. My goal is to support and empower clients while respecting their unique ways of communicating and processing the world around them.
Instead of trying to make clients fit into non-autistic social expectations, I work with each person to strengthen their social interactions in ways that feel natural and comfortable for them. This might include exploring different ways to communicate and building confidence in self-advocacy.
Yes, I have a lot of experience supporting adults who were diagnosed as Autistic or neurodivergent later in life. My approach helps my clients process their experiences, better understand themselves, and navigate any challenges that come with their diagnosis.
I offer both in-person and online sessions to fit your needs. In-person sessions take place in a sensory-friendly space, while online sessions are held through a secure and private platform.
Some extended health benefit plans may cover mental health and/or counselling services. I recommend that you check with your insurance provider to see if they cover sessions with a registered Psychologist.
I require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for all session cancellations. Appointments cancelled within 48 hours may be charged the full session fee.
